1, Foreign Object Damage (FOD): A foreign object enters the turbocharger through either the air intake or exhaust manifold, if this makes contact with either the Compress Wheel or Shaft & Wheel this will impact the performance of the turbocharger, easily it leads to visible damage to the compressor or turbine blades;

2, Shaft Burnt: A "burnt shaft" in a turbocharger typically is with visible bluing/blacking and metal transfer on the turbo shaft, commonly indicates a failure caused by lack of lubrication (oil starvation), where the turbo shaft overheats due to insufficient oil flow, leading to significant wear and damage to the bearing surfaces, often resulting in a seized or broken shaft;
